This may seem off-topic, but the person who washes the dishes your house needs to know this!
I put some old, cooked spaghetti that down the garbage disposal one night. The next day, the dishwasher wouldn’t drain and water backed up all over the kitchen floor.
According to the plumber, garbage disposals are only for “soups, broths, and cereals.” He said that the spaghetti continued to absorb the water int he pipe and formed a plug. He said, “rice is the worst!” To prevent this from happening, you should be very selective about what you put down the drain and always run the tap for a minute after using the disposal to make sure your pipes are flushed out.
